El Ojo is owned and operated by Kyle Kipp, specializing in high quality audio recordings at unbeatable prices.
El Ojo is a no-frills-yet-fully-stocked and relaxed establishment that successfully creates great recordings based on years of technical studio experience.
The studio is operated by musicians for musicians that want to put out a good quality EP, LP, single, demo, or live recording.
The studio is fully equipped with all the gear musicians would need (such as drums/percussion, guitars, basses, keyboards, etc.) and uses high-quality studio microphones (both dynamic and condenser), processors, hardware and digital recording software (Cubase, among others).
El Ojo is also available for in-studio, live and/or remote recording sessions in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti and greater SE Michigan area.
Pricing is very reasonable and depends on the job, but typically stands at $12-$15/hour. Package/lump deals are also available in order to keep costs reasonable.
El Ojo also offers in-house CD duplication and packaging, as well as graphic design and layout, making El Ojo a one-stop record production service.
